A Small Introduction:

Julia joined MuralXpress in the summer of 2002, a program which enriched her skills in visual arts as well as in marketing. Since then she has created numerous murals and art projects for clients, schools, and daycare centres.  Currently, Julia works as a Gr.1 school teacher and is a program educator at Markham Museum.  Summertime is usually when she does her large-scale mural projects. Ultimately, Julia's goal is to become an art therapist, healing the minds and bodies and enhancing the emotional well-being of children through art-making. She also wishes to save all the children (and now the polar bears!) on this planet.

The artists who inspire Julia are Kenny Scharf and Rodney Greenblat, whose works are often regarded as whimsical, funky, and cheerful. Though, her most favorite artist in this whole wide world is the French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Julia has a cheerful disposition and likes to act silly at times.  But when it comes to her work, she can be very dead serious. So watch out!
